Held GmbH can look back on a company history of more than 75 years. In 1946, the Held family, originating from Abertamy in Bohemia (Sudetenland), began manufacturing protective work gloves in Burgberg in the Oberallgäu region of Bavaria. At that time, the production of robust and safe work gloves was the core business of the company.
At the beginning of the 1960s, gloves for motorcycle racing were produced for the first time, followed by protective motorcycle clothing.
Today, the family business is managed by the fourth generation and operates as a full-range supplier of protective motorcycle clothing and accessories in a global market.
Quality is a tradition at Held – with this self-image and coupled with a pronounced willingness to innovate and strive for continuous improvement, products are created at the very highest quality level.
Long-term partnerships with our customers and brand partners as well as a staff of more than 130 employees form another essential pillar of the company’s success.

Using our special knowledge from the development and production of gloves and protective clothing for occupational safety areas was a logical consequence. The demand from companies for custom-made products in this area increased sharply in the 1990s, so the product range was expanded.
